Consciousness raising groups are a form of activism popularised during 1970s feminism. These groups of women met up regularly to discuss their experiences, which became a powerful tool for collectively constructing theory and taking action. Filmmaker Timothy George Kelly will facilitate a consciousness raising session for filmmakers and radicals in an attempt to create a conversation that recognises the systemic reality we all experience. It will be a unique opportunity to engage with each other in a solidarity-building group that ends up feeling something between group therapy, activism and hopefully a “fuck you” to the bosses inside and outside of our heads.
