After shooting the pilot episode of Days—an adaption of the American soap opera Days of Our Lives—we are now developing the forthcoming season. Various collaborations redirect libidinally driven storylines towards some of the concerns of Berlin’s precariat: the nature of abstract, emotional and unpaid labor. We share some of our process through a trailer, a talk, and staged melodrama. 

 

Starting with the development of Days in 2018, Ellinor Aurora Aasgaard & Zayne Armstrong have been working together on a constellation of props/sculptures, stories/scripts and paintings/backdrops, and engage a number of others in the realization of the TV show-like episodes of the soap opera. The pilot of Days was presented at Fotogalleriet Oslo in late 2020.
