In doing so, my written and filmic work manifests how the criminalization of transport workers forms a dramaturgical relationship between prop and property, such that cargo (property) operates as a characterizing index (prop) for the worker who\u2019s \u201cresponsible\u201d for its potential loss. <!--more-->I\u2019m interested in the history of making lost time representable, and how \u201closs prevention\u201d intersects between policing and cinematic time. The research for this conceptual\/aesthetic thesis was informed by interviewing transport workers, conducting field work on container ships and at ports around the world, and collaborating with authors\/artists\/workers.\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\nAsh Moniz is a Cairo-based multi-disciplinary artist working primarily between the realms of performance, video, installation, and film. Moniz has exhibited in solo shows such as Townhouse Gallery (Cairo), Sishang Museum (Beijing), and in group shows such as Sheffield DocFest, Berlinale, Dakar Biennale.
